The luxury yacht industry witnessed a remarkable debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show with the unveiling of Columbus Custom’s 50-meter Anjelif, a vessel that seamlessly blends crystal healing properties with cutting-edge maritime technology. Owner Maria Francesca Angelini has transformed her decades of yachting experience into an innovative superyacht that challenges conventional design paradigms.
The superyacht, distinguished by its unique gilded bronze hull that transforms to champagne gold in sunlight, represents a departure from traditional yacht design. “I wanted something modern, with a special and unique shape,” explains Angelini, who grew up around yachts and decided to start her ownership journey with an ambitious 50-meter vessel. “If you’re going to do something, make it special!”
Drawing from 20 years of crystal healing studies, Angelini integrated an extensive crystal installation throughout the yacht’s interior spaces. This unconventional approach has already garnered attention from distinguished guests, including royalty, who have reported experiencing the yacht’s unique energy. The vessel’s interior design prioritizes a champagne-colored palette accented with bronze and gold elements, creating what Angelini describes as “a relaxing place full of pure energy.”
In a groundbreaking move for luxury yacht technology, Anjelif features a custom-designed air conditioning and purification system. “I often found myself getting cold onboard because of overly strong air conditioning,” Angelini recalls. Working with engineer Giuseppe Sole, she developed a system that not only maintains optimal comfort but also sterilizes interior spaces between guest visits.
The yacht’s innovative design extends to its multi-functional spaces. The upper deck dining area transforms into a games room, while the helipad doubles as an entertainment venue. The main salon incorporates movable sofas on micro rails, offering flexible configurations for various activities from casual gatherings to cinema viewing.
Recently listed for charter through Fraser Yachts, Anjelif is scheduled to make her Caribbean debut this December. In a notable philanthropic gesture, Angelini has committed a portion of charter revenues to the Medialthea Charity Association, supporting children and young people worldwide.
The collaboration between Angelini and architect Marco Casali resulted in several architectural innovations, including fully open windows in the main salon – a feature typically reserved for larger vessels. “When I described the lines I wanted for the yacht’s structure, he grasped it immediately and we designed it together,” Angelini notes.
Giuseppe Palumbo, who led the construction process at Columbus Custom, embraced Angelini’s vision for something extraordinary. The result is a vessel that not only pushes the boundaries of yacht design but also creates a new standard for onboard wellness and comfort in the luxury charter market.
